The UEA Jazz Collective was founded in 2014 and currently is run by Ashwin Bhatt. Affiliated under the UEA Music Society, these are the finest young Jazz musicians in the Norwich student scene. The band regularly enjoy playing gigs at the University of East Anglia and throughout Norwich.

Our set-lists are influenced from artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Norah Jones, Sonny Rollins,  Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse and many more.

The band features Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Drums, Bass and Piano.

 

Primarily, the aim of the band was to spread the word of Jazz around Norfolk and the student community. This has now expanded to supporting UEA musicians and developing their Jazz skill. However, we all share the same ethos to play great music.
